Withdrawal Agreement Residence Permit Application Survey

In 2021, Remain in France Together (RIFT) have conducted 4 surveys capturing data about applications for the post Brexit Carte de Séjour (Withdrawal Agreement Residency Permit – WA RP) for UK passport holders and their families living in France by 31 December 2020.

The last 2 targeted surveys were conducted in collaboration with the British Embassy in Paris.

You will find the results of those surveys here

Survey Results January 2021

Survey Results April 2021

Targeted Surveys Results June 2021

Today we launch a new survey to capture data from ALL UK passport holders and their families living in France by 31 December 2020, regardless of whether they have made their application, received their card or are still waiting for a rendez-vous having applied some months ago.

Once collated, our aim is to analysis the data to identify any issues and pass them to the British Embassy and via them, to the Ministère de l'intérieur.

As you may be aware, in accordance with French law, applications needed to be made by 30 June 2021 with the requirement to hold the new WA RP by 1 October 2021; the online application system was due to close on 30 June 2021.

However, the application system remains open for late application and is now due to close on 30 September 2021.

If you have not already made your application, then you need to do so without delay. Please note the date by which applications needed to be made was not extended by law therefore please ensure you include a note of why your application is late in the comment box of the online application form.

Please read our article about the application portal, which includes a link to both the French and English language application portals.

Please note, under French law, UK passport holders and their families living in French by 31/12/2020 must hold a WA RP by 1 October 2021. With the application portal remaining open, we anticipate that this date will have to be amended.
